Receiving a car's records from its seller
The records arrive free. If you already have a car on Basic, the new one takes the slot and you're asked once.
When a seller hands a car over, you get an email invite. Accepting it moves the car's whole history into your account at no charge. If you don't have an account yet, you'll create a free Basic one.
Records from earlier owners stay attributed to them and can't be edited. Yours start from the handover, and the car's link stays the same.
On Basic, the car you receive takes your one editable slot, and any other car you hold becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted, and it stays viewable and in your account archive. You're asked once which car to keep editable, and a banner in your garage keeps asking until you answer.
After that, the slot doesn't move by swapping. It frees up when a car is handed on to someone else or deleted, or you can move to Pro to edit up to 5 cars.
The car keeps every record it arrives with. On Basic you can add more only while it holds fewer than 5; your own Vinfirmed Sale or Pro lifts that. Publishing the car for your own sale takes your own Vinfirmed Sale.
